It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Peter Gordon Cyncora, at 91 years, and he has gone to rest in peace and join the love of his life - Adeline.
On the morning of Sunday, December 13, 2020, Peter passed to join those family members and friends that left before him. He leaves behind a proud and caring family and is survived by his three children: Brian (Terry); Sheryl (Denny Kamenz) and Nick (Darlene); grandchildren: Brent Kamenz, Breanne (Patrick Bateman) Kamenz and Cody Cyncora. He is also survived by brothers (sisters-in-law), Larry (Alice) Cyncora and Walter (Marlene) Cyncora; plus a large extended family of nephews and nieces. Peter was predeceased by his dear, loyal and loving wife of 67 years, Adeline, his grandson Jeremy Cyncora, his parents, Nicholas and Tina (Sawczuk) Cyncora, his sister Elsie / Sophie (Ray) Watsko, his parents-in-law, Julia (Leukovicz) and Albert Bialek; and in-law siblings: John (Nellie), Stanley (Bernice), Tom (Helen), Casmir (Adele), Joe Bailey (Ollie), Mary (Casmir Komadowski), Cecile (John Winnicki), Angela / Nellie (Anton Urbanski) and Jean (John Walker).
The family would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Personal Care Home of Winnipeg for their compassionate care and concern during his final days. We also recognize that these are difficult and trying times. As such, after a private family interment the family intends on honouring Peter's life by hosting a Celebration of Life in the months to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Windsor Chapter of Sleep In Heavenly Peace, https://shpbeds.ca/chapter/on-windsor/

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • We are saddened of the news of Pete’s passing. Lots of memories growing up as close neighbours with the Cyncora’s. Pete and Adeline were always so gracious and kind. My parents were great friends all of their years, eventually making many weekend trips to the States! Pete had a manicured yard that made it difficult to keep up with. Pete’s yard was spectacular, he spent a lot of time grooming each blade of grass both front and back yard, and the tomatoes were incredible. Lots of hanging baskets of flowers graced the garage and car port, just beautiful. Hugs to Brian, Terry, Sheryl, Denny, Nick, Darlene and the grandchildren. You are all in our thoughts from the Koley’s. - Posted by: Kym peixoto (Friends) on: Dec 28, 2020

  • My condolences to Brian, Cheryl and Nick. Also please note that in the list of predeceased in-law siblings, my mother Adele Bialek (Casmir) is alive and doing very well! Best regards, Ben Bialek - Posted by: Ben Bialek (Nephew) on: Dec 19, 2020

  • Dear Darlene & Nick, Terry & Brian, Sheryl & Denny and family, Please accept our condolences on the passing of Uncle Peter. I have fond memories of spending time with him and Auntie Adeline at their condo and Aulneau Seniors home enjoying lunch or supper and reminiscing. They were both special and loving people and I'm blessed to have known them. My families thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Charlene, Manuel and girls xoxox - Posted by: Charlene Urbanski (niece) on: Dec 19, 2020

  • Pete was a great back-door neighbour who was always there to lend a helping hand. His heart of gold, spirit of generosity and sense of humour will be remembered and cherished. His beautiful blue eyes were likely twinkling when he met his beloved Adeline and those that have gone before him. May wonderful memories of a man, whose life was so well lived, give the family comfort in their great loss. His legacy of love lives on in his family, friends and the communities that he touched. We send our heartlfelt condolences to all of the family. Rest in Peace dear Pete and give our love to Adeline, Bernie and Liz. - Posted by: Ken and Linda Boughton (Neighbours) on: Dec 19, 2020
