With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Mildred Cook, with her family at her side, on December 8, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19.
A caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mildred will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mildred leaves behind her husband of 39 years, Rick; her sons, James (Erin) and Tyler; grandchildren, Liam and Finleigh; sister, Margaret (Lawrie); brother, Ernie (Jeanine); as well as her aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Grace and St. Boniface Hospitals in Winnipeg for their exceptional and gentle care for Mildred during her time there.
In accordance with Mildred's wishes, there will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Siloam Mission or to a charity of your choice in Mildred's name.

  • I am shocked and saddened to read this news. It was always nice to talk to Mildred and Rick as they shopped at Sears and whenever we bumped into each other, reminiscing about our days at I&C. - Posted by: Pat Korman (former co-worker) on: Dec 19, 2020
