(nee COOK)
November 27, 1931 - December 17, 2020
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma due to Covid.
Marj leaves to mourn her husband of 65 years Raymond, son, Wade and Marilyn and their children, Cassandra (Matt), Raymond (Bailey), Aleysha (Brandon), daughter, Kathy and Doug Hughes and their children, Curtis (Andrea), and Nick (Tawnya) and her great-grandchildren, Azarius, Olivia and Apollo.
Marj was predeceased by her parents Chum and Margaret Cook and her siblings Donald, Peggy, Neil, Sheila, Isabel and Angus.
Marj was raised on a Dugald area farm and we grew up hearing tales of her walking to school across a mile of open fields on cold winter days. Her first job was as a telephone operator in Dugald until she took an interest in a rival baseball teams star pitcher, Raymond. They married in May of 1955 and worked side by side on their dairy farm in the Monominto area raising their two children.
She was a wonderful, kind, caring person and a loyal fan of the Jets, Bombers and any team that her grandchildren played on.
She had several health issues throughout her life but never let anything dampen her positive attitude. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Special thanks to all the staff at KinPlace PCH for their compassionate care of Marj.
Due to Covid restrictions a graveside celebration will be held at a later time.
Rest in Peace Mom. We love you.
Everyone please wash your hands and wear a mask.
