EVELYN EDITH ARGLE
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her two surviving children, Diane Harpin (Mike), and Tom (Jennifer) Argle, plus our sister-in-law Michelle Argle, plus her 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Earl, her sons, George and Albert (Earl). Her parents Albert and Edith Airey, brothers Albert and Wilfred and sister Gladys.
Mom was born in Kenton, Manitoba on March 25, 1933, where she attended school and worked on the family farm before she moved to Rivers, Manitoba where she met her late husband Earl Argle. They eventually moved to Oak Bank where she lived for 65 years.
Evelyn was loved by all for her gentle nature and quick wit that made people laugh. She enjoyed her grandchild along with her beautiful flower gardens and baking, Mom loved to walk and would be seen daily walking her way around town. In her 80s, she gave up her walks but continued to enjoy life.
We would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, for caring for Mom for the past six weeks. We would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to her loving homecare aids and the staff from Kin Place Independent Living and the staff at Green Acres Funeral Home for making such a difficult time less stressful.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a family graveside service in the spring of 2021.
Please no flowers, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Manitoba or a charity of your choosing.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)
So sorry to hear that your mom has passed away. We were neighbors for a year when we lived in Oakbank. Our children got to know Earl & Evelyn and considered them honorary grandparents. - Posted by: Stephanie Schan (Friend) on: Apr 02, 2021
We were very sorry to hear about the sudden passing of your Mom, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. Whenever we would meet, she always had a smile; so cheerful. She will definitely be missed! Another long-time resident of Oak Bank has gone to live with the angels. Our sincere condolences to the family and may she Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Dennis and Donna McLeod (Friend) on: Dec 31, 2020
Diane, Tom and families. We were saddened to hear of Aunt Ev's sudden passing. She was a lady full of life with a wonderful sense of humor. We always joked that she was the 'old witch' and we were so glad to have the chance to visit with her at Connie's memorial in Neepawa last year. There is never a good time to lose a loved one, but would have made your Christmas this year a very tough time. Sending you our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. Diane and family, we are very sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I will always remember her as a kind lady that was always glad to see me. My favorite memory of her is playing Barbie's at her house as a little girl. Rest in peace Mrs. Argle. - Posted by: Crystal and Roddy McLeod (friend) on: Dec 26, 2020
