PATRICIA JEAN MCWILLIAMS
(nee JOHNSON)

It is with heavy hearts, that we inform our friends and family that on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, Patricia McWilliams passed away at the age of 85 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Mary Johnson, older brother Murray Holland; brother-in-law Murray Fargey and son-in-law Brent Renner.
Patricia leaves behind to mourn her, her husband of 65 years of marriage, Donald McWilliams; their three daughters, Diana Murray, Donna Renner and Darlene McWilliams; granddaughters, Melissa Burke (Vince), Vanessa Whitehead (Cameron) and Rowan McWilliams, sisters Peggy Fisher and Betty Fargey. Pat's four great-grandchildren, Sara, Kenadie, Connor, and Audrey-Marie are also left to miss her.
Patricia was born on June, 29, 1935 in Bracken, SK to Carl and Mary Johnson. Her father was in the military and so the family moved around from post to post. When she was 16 they settled in Hagersville, ON. When Pat had finished her schooling she got a job as a typist/clerk to the Quarter Marshal in camp. Here is where she met her future husband, Cpl. Donald McWilliams. On August 20, 1953, when she was 18, they married. Donald was shipped out to Germany and Pat followed a few months later. Three years later they came back to Canada and started a family. After the birth of their second child, they went back to Germany. It wasn't until 1969 that they bought a home and set down roots. Pat made a good career of being a homemaker to her family. Once the children were older, Pat made a career for herself as a nurse's aide at West Park Manor. She worked there for over 15 years and retired in 1994.
Over the next 26 years, Patricia lived her life doing what she loved. Whether it was
gardening in the large backyard, going on trips with her husband or spending time with the family. Pat was the type of person who got along well with her neighbours and made the most of every situation she was involved in.
Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, there will be a small service with only the family
members. At a later date, Patricia will be
interred at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Patricia McWilliams to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2
