CONSTANCE (CONNIE) WALKEY
September 11, 1930 - December 8, 2020

It is with heavy hearts we wish to announce the sudden passing of Constance (Connie) Leona Hedwig Walkey on December 8, 2020, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Connie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Randy Parker and Carla (Ken) Hees, together with her two grandchildren, Natasha and Nathaniel, and her nieces and nephew. Connie was predeceased by parents, Frank and Hedwig Dziedzic, her loving husband Charles (Chuck), her sister Frances (Fran) and brother-in-law Kenneth (Ken) Collins.
Connie was born on September 11, 1930 in Winnipeg, MB. She was truly loved and admired for her gentle nature. Her life truly revolved around taking care of her family and friends and was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, she will be sadly missed.
Earlier in her life, she was very involved as a volunteer with the UCW planning various events including the popular Christmas tea at the Kirkfield Park United Church. She also enjoyed the relationships she formed through her part-time employment at the Hudson's Bay location that was once in Unicity.
Once Connie retired, she treasured travelling to Florida in the winter with Chuck. Here they both enjoyed the friendships of many other snowbirds, exploring their time at the beach and playing cribbage.
At the time of her sudden passing, Connie had been living at the Charleswood Care Centre. She enjoyed her time there and could be seen enjoying playing bingo with the other residents or clapping her hands to the beautiful piano music in the lounge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie's memory to a charity of your choosing.
Due to Covid restrictions and in accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place with interment under the trees in the Good Samaritan Garden at the Chapel Lawn Cemetery.

We will cherish our memories of her as
they will forever live on in our hearts
