JOAN GLOVER
1930 - 2020
Mom was predeceased by our dad, Dick Glover; her parents, Robert and Betty Robbins; in-laws, Frank and Florence Glover; brother Ralph Robbins; sister Ruth Reimer; and her furry canine babies, Missy, Joey and DJ.
Left to mourn are her children, Jan (Ken) Greig, Dawn (Lawrence) Rotinsky, Bruce (Shelly) Glover; her grandchildren, Scott (Crystal) Greig, Kevin (Cara) Greig, Kristy Greig, Jeff (Heather) Rotinsky, Jennifer Rotinsky, Trish (Kristen) Rotinsky, Tyler (Ayla) Rotinsky, Jason (Jas) Glover, Tracy Glover, Jamie-Lee Walker, Mike (Kim) Strickland, and Randi Graham; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Gavin, Jesse and Colton Greig; Mikaela, Madi, Carter, and Mason Rotinsky; Jake and Sadie Glover, and Mila and Evie Walker; her brother-in-law Bill Glover; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Peter) Sharpe, Dorothy (Ken) Godwin; and her very best friend of over 60 years, Hilda Gowler.
Mom was born in Winnipeg on July 7, 1930 and attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. She worked for many years at E.H. Price Ltd. as head of accounts receivable. She and Dad moved from East Kildonan to Garson, Manitoba in 1977. Dad passed away in 1988, but Mom stayed on the "farm" for another 11 years, always tending to her lawn, flowers and gardens. In 1999, Mom moved back to Winnipeg, and enjoyed the rest of her life spending time with her family and friends. Mom was a "Martha Stewart" who loved to sew, knit, garden and bake for everyone. She also won numerous awards for her outstanding quilting skills. Her chocolate cake, cinnamon buns, donuts and noodles were everyone's favourites.
We had wonderful trips with Mom to Puerto Vallarta, Branson, Missouri, Graceland, Hawaii, and Las Vegas for her 80th birthday.
She had a heart of gold and was always there for all of us, in every way. Words cannot express how much we will miss her, and our worlds will never be the same without her.
Until we meet again Mom, we will hold you close in our hearts. We love you so much.
A funeral service will be held at a later date due to Covid.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Bethania Personal Care Home would be greatly appreciated.

We are so sorry to hear about Joan's passing. Our sincere condolences to her family on the loss of such a special, loving lady. We have known Joan for many years. We met her when we all went to Tops in Cook's Creek. She was a lady with a heart of gold. Her family was everything to her, and that is how she treated us, like part of her family. Heaven has definitely gained a special angel. R. I. P. Joan ♥️. Pat and Robin Denis - Posted by: Pat and Robin Denis (Friend of family) on: Jan 02, 2021

My sincere condolences to all the family in the loss of Joan. I was just thinking of her the other day and neglected to make a phone call then and there. We had many pleasant visits over the years and I have many good memories of times spent together as young people. She was an expert quilter and a friendly person to know. You will be in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. - Posted by: Nan Christie (cousin) on: Jan 02, 2021
