HENRY K FRIESEN
April 14, 1941 - December 9, 2020
After battling many forms of cancer, from kidney, to bladder to terminal lung cancer; which finally won the battle.
He has left this earth, and left us with all the good parts he brought, and enjoyed with us to and enriched our lives. And also for all the other people who he had touched with his spirit, life, enthusiasm and especially his humour and enjoyment that Henry brought to everyone who he encountered.
Henry was an extreme fighter, with Shirley supporting him and being by his side, they battled these diseases together since 2007, with family helping every step of the way.
Henry was known for how he loved his family, especially all of his grandchildren, and how he was so involved.
He was all about family, loving and caring for all - everyone Henry encountered - from his brothers, to sisters, to nieces and nephews, to second and third cousins, all along they way. He impacted them with his humorous spirit and witty sense of humour. He will be remembered by every single person whom his soul had touched.
He will be greatly missed. He will live on forever in our hearts.
Henry is preceded in death by his daughter Angela, his parents and numerous siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley. four children: Cheryl, Patrick, Coreen, and Cory, eight grandchildren: Matthew, Natasha, Braeden, Colton, Noah, Ryder, Hunter and Kierce, two stepgrand children, Jennifer and Adam, five great- grand children: Callie, Jaiden, Astrid, Peyton and Mabel, four in-laws: Ivy, Tina, Gord, and Alex.
We will be having a private gravesite ceremony only for Shirley and the immediate children because of the restrictions upon us due to the Coronavirus.
There were two viewings on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Due to bad weather, the funeral service was held in the Chapel and burial took place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Calgary, Alberta.
If family and friends so desire, condolences can be mailed to Shirley and family or phone call.
