MARSHA SCHWARTZMAN

We lost our dear wife, mother and grandmother in the early hours of Christmas Day, 2020, with family at her side. Marsha fought a valiant battle with cancer right until the end.
She leaves to mourn, her husband of 50 years, Sid, her devoted children, Lisa and Neil (Gina), and grandsons, Noah and Eli, plus her many friends.
Marsha was blessed with an engaging personality and she exuded spirit, joy, loyalty and honesty. She had wonderful skills in the kitchen and her dinner parties are legendary. She enjoyed playing bridge with her bridge group and also made time to volunteer at CancerCare. Marsha was born in Thunder Bay and upon graduation from high school, went to Toronto to earn her teacher's certificate. She then moved to Winnipeg where she taught school in the St. James school division. At this point, she met Sid and after a whirlwind courtship, they married. Marsha continued to teach until her children came along, at which time she became a full time mother. When the children were in school, she went to Holt Renfrew where she sold La Prairie products. Marsha was lured away to become catering manager at Rosh Pina Synagogue. When her mother became ill, Marsha retired to look after her. Marsha will be long remembered by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marsha Schwartzman Endowment Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba.
