VIVIAN MAY REMPLE
(WALKER)
August 1, 1933 - December 15, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother at the age of 87.
Vivian was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Wally in July of this year, and leaves behind six of her seven children, Gord (Cindy), Wally (Cynthia), Glenn (Pam), Avis, Judy-deceased (Hughie), Cathleen and Rob (Andrea). Vivian also leaves behind her 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Vivian worked many years in various retail stores in Winnipeg and as she never met anyone that was a stranger it suited her well. Her home and kitchen were always welcoming to anyone who happened to show up at her door, and more people than her seven children called her mom. In her eyes, family was never simply just those who were related. If she sat, she knit, her hands never still and her knitting bag always close. The many blankets she produced have kept all the babies and children in her life warm to this day and many being donated to those in need.
Vivian and Wally dedicated much of their time and energy at Grant Memorial Church, in the Seniors Choir, Bird River Bible Camp and the school.
For all of her love of home, Vivian enjoyed travelling the world, visiting family, taking many cruises and completed her biggest travel goal of visiting Scotland - the homeland of her father.
The family would like to thank the staff of Winnipeg West Home Care, Tuxedo Villa and the Grace Hospital Emergency Department for all the wonderful care.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Chapel Lawn in charge of arrangements.

As they were together on Earth, Mom and Dad are together forever in Heaven

  • On behalf of so many of us at Linden Christian School, I extend my condolences on the passing of your mom. She is fondly remembered by many of the faculty and staff because of her prayerful support of Linden Christian - particularly through her participation in the Grade 12 prayer partnership ministry. Both she and your dad are missed. May God keep you in his care, Rob Charach - Posted by: Rob Charach, Linden Christian School (Friend) on: Jan 18, 2021

  • Condolences to the Remple family on the passing of your mother. Our family lived across the street from them on Elmhurst Road and I have many fond memories of her from when I was a child. She was a lovely woman. - Posted by: Oriana Elliott (Eliuk) (Former neighbor) on: Jan 09, 2021

  • Sincere sympathies to all your families on the passing of your Mom. I haven't seen her for many years, but always enjoyed our chats when I would run into her in the community. Your Mom and Dad are now together again. You were fortunate to have your parents in your lives for so many years. Cherish your memories and may they help comfort you at this time. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Marnie Manerch (Friend of Wally, Glenn, Avis.) on: Jan 09, 2021

  • Our deepest condolences to the family of Vivan, & Wally. We loved your Mum & Dad, and they were so gracious and kind to us. Vivan was always such a help when I needed guidance. She laboured hard for LCS Senior to Senior prayer times, for Bird River Bible Camp. And in the Christian Women's organization, she was a big support! We want you to know that we have & will be praying for each one of you. Both your Mum & Dad are so missed at church and in the community. Blessing to you all. - Posted by: Ben & Donna Harper (Friend from GMBC) on: Jan 09, 2021
