MERRILYN ELIZABETH KUFFLICK

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Merrilyn Elizabeth Kufflick (nee Mason) on January 2, 2021, at the age of 74.
Merrilyn's death was the result of complications from a stroke she suffered in April 2020, not the "damndemic", as she called it.
Merrilyn was predeceased by her father Francis, her mother Evelyn, and brothers, Vincent and Kerry.
Mom was a loving and devoted mother first and foremost. She adored her children, David (her supposed favourite), Marni (her actual favourite), and her grandson Zack (who lovingly destroyed the couch each and every visit).
Mom was a kind, caring, patient (we tested it) woman with a huge heart and a fabulous sense of humour. She will be remembered with great love and joy, as she taught and nurtured in all of us. We know with certainty that wherever her spirit now roams, it will be a better place for it.
Mom loved gardening, HGTV (so much HGTV), sharing a meal, bossing us around, taking immaculate care of her home and her people, nature, music, puttering, and lengthy conversations - often about the weather.
Left to lovingly remember her are her children and grandson; her siblings, Sue (Grant), Bart (Carol) and Pamela; sister-in-law Paulette; her beloved home care person Irene; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends made over the years.
Mom's faithful, albeit stubborn companion "Gerry" of the last nine months has accompanied her on this part of her journey.
Cremation has taken place, with a celebration to follow in late June.
In lieu of flowers - particularly not purple ones - donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

Though you can't see me or touch me,
I will be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear,
All my love around you soft and clear.
