MARJORIE BERNICE JOHNSON
(nee PRICE)
October 30, 1923 - January 2, 2021
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Russell (Logie) Johnson in 2016, her parents, William and Nellie Price, her brother Harold, and sister Betty.
Left to mourn Marge's passing are her three sons: Bruce (Janet), Jim (Claire), William (Mariola), grandchildren: Geoffrey (Christelle), Graham (Morgan), Heather (Ros), Ben (Megan), Chigal, Alex (Lacey), Cole, great-grandchildren: Reynelda, Alexis and Axel. Her niece Carolyn (Lionel) and family, her nephew Bob (Sandy), Keith, and close friends, Syl and Linda, Rose, Ed and Meryl, will miss her dearly.
Marge was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba on October 30, 1923. She had a happy childhood, making friends easily with her bright disposition. She would meet her best friend and the love of her life, Logie in grade school. They married in 1948 and began a life of 68 wonderful years together, raising three boys, becoming proud grandparents to seven wonderful grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Marge and Logie enjoyed travelling. They visited picturesque destinations like Hawaii, Australia, Fiji, Spain, Switzerland, Columbia, Mexico, Caribbean Islands and finally settling down to one sunny spot in Weslaco, Texas, as Winter Texans for a span of 23 years.
Marge had a great love for crafts, she would fill her spare time crocheting, Swedish weaving and knitting. She loved gardening but as she aged, she was halted in her passions by many ailments.
As the years went on and her physical abilities continued to decline, she required more assistance. She subsequently moved to the Deer Lodge Centre, where she spent her last years with new hobbies, playing cards and reading books. She continued to make new friends, who would take Marge under their wing. They included her in their family card games and would bring her home baking and books to read. Marge's family is ever grateful for their unconditional friendship.
Towards the end, Marge admitted she was ready and looking forward to joining her beloved Logie. Although we will all miss her dearly, we know she is now in a better, happier, and painless place, with her best friend by her side.
The family would like to thank the staff of Deer Lodge Centre Tower 4 and Tower 6, for their kindness and the loving care provided to our mother.
Due to the current health restrictions a private family remembrance will occur at a later date. As per her wishes, interment will take place at the Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mom, you will always and forever
be in our hearts, Rest in Peace.

Our sincere sympathy to all the family in the loss of your mother and our dear friend Marge. We built a bond with this wonderful, interesting and inspiring lady over the last few years when our father became a resident on her floor at Deer Lodge. She was so excited to play cards with us and gather for Chinese food with our family (Aime) for any occasion. She will be missed.... - Posted by: Brigitte&Guy Rivard (Friend) on: Jan 09, 2021

I am Aime Bernardin’s oldest son from Vancouver. I met Marjorie on a few of my visits to be with Dad on his birthdays. Always enjoyed playing cards with Marjorie. My condolences to the family, may she rest in peace. - Posted by: Orval Bernardin (Friend) on: Jan 09, 2021
