ANGELA (MAUREEN) MUNRO
November 26, 1949 - January 6, 2021

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Angela Munro.
Although her given name was Maureen everyone knew her as Angela, Angie or Ang. Born and raised in Russell, Manitoba, as a young adult Angela moved to Calgary and then to Winnipeg. She married Terry in 1972, and they raised their two children in the Winnipeg neighbourhood of North Kildonan. Angela worked for Assiniboine Credit Union prior to having kids and later with the Winnipeg School Division as a paraprofessional before taking early retirement in the 1990s. Angela was actively involved in many activities and volunteered regularly with the North Kildonan United Church. She was one of the most caring people you could ever meet, always putting others before herself. Angela enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with her family, weekends at the lake, and coffee at Tim Hortons with her friends. She was a social person with a bubbly personality.
Angela lived for her family, and loved them deeply, leaving behind her husband of 48 years, Terry, son Ryan (Sabrina), daughter Dawn (Aaron), granddaughter Ariella, her siblings, many nieces and nephews, many cousins, and many friends. Angela was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Marguerite Setter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Angela's honour to the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba, the Arthritis Society, or North Kildonan United Church. A special thank you to North Kildonan United Church for all their support and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • Angie was more of a sister than a cousin because we spent so much of our growing up years together. She was just a few months older than me but taught me lots like how to make silage and can vegetables from their massive garden. When we had time to play she taught me how to ride horses and play kissing cousins behind the barn when our other cousins came for holidays! After growing up we only saw each other once in awhile but every time it was special and a delight in my heart. I can’t believe she is gone but one day we will meet again and I’m sure she will have more exciting things to teach me. My condolences to Terry, Ryan, Dawn, and the rest of the families. Love you Angie forever. 😇🥰 Debbie - Posted by: Debbie Setter ( Cousin) on: Jan 13, 2021

  • Terry, My deepest condolences to you and your family. Angie always seemed to have a great laugh - which was usually at our expense when we came off the curling ice. However, it is a great memory of Angie and one that I will keep for a very long time. My sincere and heartfelt sympathies in your loss.
