January 24, 1947 – January 6, 2021

Sadly on January 6, 2021, Dianne passed away at St. Boniface Hospital after a hard fought battle with Congestive Heart Failure.
Dianne was predeceased by her parents, Louise and Arthur; and brother Ronald.
Dianne is survived by her sisters, Bev; Barbara (Ron); Barb's children, Todd (Laurie and son Riley) and Jason. Also surviving is sister-in-law Rose Johnson (Harry) and children Cheryl, Kelley (Emily, Connor) and David (Samantha). Dianne will be missed by her fur baby, Mera.
Dianne grew up in St. Vital and Windsor Park. She worked for MTS for over 30 years. She retired for awhile and then worked for five years for the Federal Government. She enjoyed working for the government very much. She loved what she did and the people she worked with. For the last 14 years Dianne sold Avon. She just loved it. She enjoyed dealing with the customers and they in turn loved her proficiency and caring.
Dianne loved to volunteer. She and her sister Bev were volunteer clowns through MTS Pioneer Association for many years. Dianne and Bev also volunteered for The Children's Wish Foundation planning and participating in many events. Dianne and Bev also volunteered for Winnipeg Blue Bombers (through MTS) assisting at the Famous Block Parties which were so much fun and we got to see the games after.
Dianne also loved to sew. She could sew clothes and mend most anything. For the last ten years Dianne had sewn fleece winter wear like neck warmers, scarves, dog beds and blankets. She gave them as gifts and sold them at craft sales. Dianne was a people person and loved participating in these sales.
Thank you to Di's and my friends, Eleanor, Wendy, Barb R., Judy, Shannon, Cindi and neighbors Dirk, Brian and Nancy who helped us along the way and who will miss Dianne's cheery personality.
Due to Covid 19, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of Dianne's life will take place at a later date.

  • My memories of Diane are filled with love and laughter. Diane and her best friend/sister Bev used to come to the Norwood Hotel where I sang. I can still hear her laughter and her joyous smile. It was there they became friends and then family. Anyone who knew Diane knew her for her kindness and warm caring motherly personality. She loved people and people loved her. She loved her dogs they were her and Bev's lucky fur babies. She will truly be missed by my mother Pam and myself. Until we meet again much peace. - Posted by: Shannon McIsaac (Friend) on: Jan 09, 2021
