PATRICIA GLORIA PLANTE
(nee STEFISHEN)
June 7, 1945 - January 9, 2021

It is with sadness and heavy hearts, that the family announces the passing of Patricia on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Beausejour Hospital at the age of 75.
Today we lost a wife, mother, sister, aunt, baba, great-baba and friend.
Remaining to forever cherish Patricia's memory is her loving husband Fred; children, Mike, Teresa, Tammy and Lorne; grandchildren, Brandi (Colton), Nicholas, Travis, Brendan, Jordan, Riley and Jackson; great-grandson, Ryker; nieces; nephews; cousins and many good friends. She is survived by siblings, Elmer, Jean, Frank and Winston. Predeceased by parents, Alexander and Beatrice, eight brothers and three sisters.
Pat was employed by Tan Jay and Sterling Stall and later went on to work for home care and volunteering at Kin Place. Mom enjoyed making perogies at the church with the ladies and had a passion for gardening and flowers. She was always sharing vegetables from her garden. Mom could always easily make friends everywhere she went.
In compliance with Patricia's wishes, a cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service. An interment will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Selkirk and Beausejour Hospitals for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Patricia's name to CancerCare Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to the family of Pat. She was a very good friend of my mom Frances. When my Mom passed in 2006, Pat kept in contact, for a few years, to make sure us girls were managing alright. Any time that we ran into each other, she would ask how we were doing and make sure to tell us a crazy story of our mom and her times together. She was really a great lady, with a good sense of humor. I have not seen her in many years, but she has not and will not be forgotten. My sympathy to you all. - Posted by: Cheryl Waskul Collins (Daughter of a Good Friend) on: Jan 16, 2021

  • My most sincere condolences to Pat's whole family, Fred and kids and grandchildren , brothers and sisters , I know she will be sorely missed. She will always be there in your cherished memories of who she was and how she graced your life. how lucky you were! Pat was one of the most caring giving women I have ever met. Perogy pinching for a good cause and volunteering , she wholly embraced the community she lived in. When my dear mother Frances became a widow she took it upon herself to be my Moms right hand . Grocery shopping, Dr. appointments, picking up mail, helping pick Mom up when she fell down and just plain checking in to see if she was ok, and later, always visiting her when my Mom went into Kin Place. The love in her was shown in her actions . Pats kindness and enthusiasm was wonderful to receive, she had a way of making you feel special and worthy . I'm going to miss seeing her with a big smile on that riding lawnmower ,arm raised in salutation , may she get the best riding mower ever in the next life . - Posted by: Ray Andrejowich (neighbor) on: Jan 16, 2021

  • I am so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. Her and my mom Frances were very close friends, for many years. After my moms passing in 06, Pat and I saw each other out and about, and she would always give a hug and chat about mom and life in general. It was so nice to see her, she reminded me of the good times when mom was here, and she was always so kind and happy. My deepest sympathy to all of her family. - Posted by: Cheryl Waskul Collins (Daughter of her longtime friend) on: Jan 16, 2021
