LINDA MARY BURFOOT
August 31, 1946 - January 12, 2021
After successfully battling and beating cancer three previous time, she lost the fourth.
For Linda it was always family first. Nothing made Linda happier than being with her family. She was totally dedicated to the well-being of her family and her strength was what held us together.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert, sons, Glen and Brent, sister Wendy Pass (Jeff Klebert), sister-in-law Rosalind Scaife (Bob Cancade), three granddaughters (her pride and joy!) Megan, Katie and Alix, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She always placed ours and others happiness and welfare ahead of her own.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Hank and Jessie Bauer.
The lady loved to dance and Bob often played the song "Poetry in Motion". She taught dancing for many years to eager youngsters at Isaac Brock, Orioles, Clifton and Woodhaven community clubs. After several years of employment with Child & Family Services, Linda became well known as the #1 school secretary for the Winnipeg School Division #1 for over 17 years.
The family would like to thank the Lake Group, the Tyndall Park School Ladies' Group, the Paradise Village Group, and all her other friends that contributed to her happiness in life.
As per Linda's wishes cremation has taken place and her ashes will be spread at Jessica Lake and Echo Bay. Due to Covid restrictions no service will be held at this time.
Flowers are declined with gratitude.

I am so sorry for your loss Bob. Grieving takes its time. But I'm sure after 58 years there are a lot of great memories to look back on. - Posted by: Carol Kyliuk nee Mitchell (Clifton childhood neighbor to Bob ) on: Jan 26, 2021
Please accept my sincere condolences to all family and friends of Linda. I went to Jr. High at Isaac Brock with Linda. She was fun loving, upbeat, had an infectious personality, and was always “bopping” around the school. I remember one summer we were at Lake Brereton at C.G.I.T. Camp. Linda had all 11 other girls in the cabin enraptured as she was teaching us all how to do “The Stomp”. She danced or skipped everywhere! She touched 11 lives that day as I’m sure she continued to do that to others throughout her life. How lucky you were to have her as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Peace to all! - Posted by: Janice Johnson (McCormick) (Former school mate) on: Jan 20, 2021
I am so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. You have my condolences. Linda always played a very special role in your life. My knowing her was from various work functions that brought together spouses. She was always smiling and very hospitable to everyone she met. One great lady. She will be missed but never forgotten. May God grant you and your family peace and comfort during this time of sorrow. - Posted by: Ray Nixdorf (Co-worker) on: Jan 18, 2021

Linda was the very definition of a true friend. I had no idea how fortunate I was to stand next to Linda at age 6 in dancing class. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her amazing and caring personality. The world is a sadder place without this beautiful lady. My heartfelt condolences go out to Bob and their wonderful family. Sincerely, Sandra Poole ( Workman ) - Posted by: Sandra Poole ( Workman ) (Childhood Friend) on: Jan 16, 2021
