June 2, 1925 - January 9, 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Aurise Stewner, at the age of 95 years, at the Grace Hospice.
She was predeceased by her husband Harvey in 1996; her youngest son Lee in 2016; her parents, Alexandrine and Albert Brulé; and her siblings, Roland, Arthur and Lorraine.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronald, Perry (Shelley), Kim (Coleen), and daughter-in-law Michele. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Simmington (Murray), Gregory (Victoria), Courtney (Kris), Whitney (Colin), Leanne, Travis (Elayna), Trisha (Jonathan) and Nicholas (Katy); great-grandchildren Meadow, Aden, Kayden, Rhett, Joshua and Marcus; and her sister Claire.
Aurise married the love of her life, Harvey R.B. Stewner, on August 5, 1950. They were married for 46 wonderful years. She spent her life ensuring her family was well taken care of, while helping her husband run the family business; she wore many hats and she wore them proudly. Aurise was a fantastic hostess, always making sure there was a hot pot of orange pekoe tea on the stove in case anyone popped by. She loved bowling, dancing, fitness and a good soap opera. She loved spending as much time as possible with her ever-expanding family - whether it was an overnight sleepover, a dinner or a quick visit. She will always be remembered by family for her hugs and rapid-fire kisses on the cheek when arriving and when leaving; always demanding extra so they would last her until the next time she saw you (we hope we gave you enough to last you until we meet again).

May you rest easy now, and
most importantly keep humming your hum.

Thank you to Mary Lou and the staff at Rosewood (Juniper House), the nurses, doctors and staff at Riverview 3E, and Grace Hospice.
A private family service and interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, or a charity of your choosing.
