OLGA (OLLIE) GUDZ

On the morning of January 23, 2021, at Fiddick's Nursing Home, Petrolia, Ollie Gudz (nee Luschak) passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 98 years and 10 months.
Beloved wife to John Gudz (predeceased); daughter to Anton and Mary Lushack (predeceased); loving mother to Ed (Sandra, predeceased) Gudz and Darlene "Doll" (Dale) Mathews; amazing grandmother (Nanee, Nana) to Jonathan (Yuka) Gudz, Garret (Joanne Graham) Gudz, Kimberly (Marshall) Heaton, Kelly Mathews and Amanda Pieraldi (nee Gudz); and, proud great-grandmother to Shogo, Kento, Henry, Micah and Camilo. Dear sister to Anne Bunzeluk, Joe Lucas and Frank Luschak (all predeceased). She will be fondly remembered by all of her extended family in Canada and the USA.
Born in Winnipeg on March 26, 1922, Ollie moved to Toronto to marry her beloved John where both of their children, Ed and Doll, were born. A fixture on Larchmount Avenue, Toronto, Ollie worked for the Timothy Eaton Co. (Eaton's) for 29 years and was inaugurated into the Timothy Eaton Quarter Century Club on August 27, 1981 (membership #15410). Shortly after her retirement, Ollie moved to Wyoming, Ontario in 1989 where she lived close to her son and his family.
Nana, also known lovingly as 'Nana Banana', was a bright star in the lives of her entire family - her kindness and generosity cannot be matched. Words said often that her loves will never forget, "don't do that", and "love you tons of bunches". We will greatly miss your amazing cooking; your sense of style; your love of life, fun, and a good laugh; and adventure. But mostly, we will miss your unconditional love. This peach schnapps toast is to you!
Special thanks to the staff at Fiddick's Nursing Home and Dr. Frank W. Riedl for their care of our Nana.
A Catholic Mass and a celebration of Ollie's life will take place in the Spring of 2021.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
