He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 67 years, Rose (Forest); his children and grandchildren that he loved so dearly, Rita [children Jacqueline (Bob) and Paul (Isis)] and Guy (wife Reana and children, Genève et Tara); five great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Mateo, Sophia, Alessandra, Xavier; his sisters, Aurore (Goulet) and Lucille (Phaneuf); his brothers and sisters-in-laws; many nephew and nieces, as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Julie Mozelle, and his younger brother Florent (Lorraine).
Amédée worked as a mechanic at Roy Implements in St. Pierre Jolys for 23 years, while also farming some land. A talented mechanic, he would offer all kinds of help to his friends, neighbours and parish.
He contributed to life in his community as a municipal councillor as well as a Knight of Columbus. He also was a founder of Club 7 and a committee member of the Club Jolys, where he spent many hours volunteering when he wasn't playing cards or shuffle board. Blessed with a sharp, curious mind, he stayed on top of current events and loved to engage in spirited conversations. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. For many years until recently, Amédée maintained a huge garden and generously shared the abundant fruits of his labour. We will cherish his memory in our hearts forever.
We would like to thank the hospital and staff of the Bethesda Regional Health Centre and Health Sciences Centre. A special thanks to Dr Kiani.
Due to public health restrictions related to COVID-19, a private mass to celebrate his life will take place.
