LYNNE CHAPMAN
Lynne was predeceased by her parents, Sydney Israel and Esther; brother Barry and sister Carol and numerous loving relatives. Left to hold her in their hearts are brother Larry; sisters, Adrianne (David), Molly (Paul), Beth; as well as brother-in-law George. She also leaves behind nieces, Heather, Sheena, Miranda and Karmel; nephews, Myles, Evan, Harlan, Bryer and Eron; as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Lynne was born on May 16, 1947, in Winnipeg, into a most loving Jewish family. Lynne held her deep-rooted faith very close; was always proud of who she was, right up to her passing. Lynne faced several challenges in life; both cognitive and physical, but she chose love and contentment in her world, rather than self-pity and bitterness. She was happiest when surrounded by those she cherished most; her family members, her many dear friends she had throughout her life. Her zest for life, infectious laugh, ear to ear smile and the twinkle in her eyes, was priceless and could light up a room full of people. She compelled others to share her gratitude for life. She loved to cook and bake for those she held dear. Her famous Kamish bread, shortbread cookies and chicken soup were a delight to all who enjoyed them.
Deep felt thanks to all staff who worked with and cared for Lynne at the Concordia Care Home for the last years of her life; thanks to those in the Covid Unit who ensured her last days with us were as peaceful as possible. Very special thanks go to Michelle and Bill; you were family to Lynne. Deep felt thanks to Margarita, Cindy and Judy, from Jewish Family Services; you made Lynne's faith life complete.
A brief graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jewish Child and Family Services in Lynne's name.
Forever in our hearts;
you were an inspiration to all.
We will always hear you whisper,
"love you, cookie."
Rest in peace for all time.

My condolences Barry on the passing of your sister. I have two younger ones and I know how dear they are to me. I played midget hockey with you are Norquay, Pepsi centered my line with Rick Safinuk. You played defense and I remember one Saturday morning at practice you had problems skating and realized that you had a broken skate blade. We also bowled 5 pins at CoMo lanes while at high school. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Colin Dederick (Barry's team mate in hockey and bowling) on: Feb 01, 2021

My deepest condolences on the passing of Lynne. Lynne shared a table in the dining room with my father during her time at Maples Care Home. She was truly a lovely person....and yes, she did have the biggest smile. - Posted by: Marian Young (Acquaintance ) on: Jan 30, 2021

Our deepest sympathy on Lynn's passing. My mother is a long time resident at Concordia Place and that is where we met Lynn. She was always happy and ready to visit. Friday night movies were a highlight for my Mom to spend with Lynn and Gail. As of late Lynn always had a smile and asked how my Mom was doing. Concordia Place and residents will miss Lynn very much. - Posted by: janet thompson (friend) on: Jan 30, 2021
