MARIA REMPEL

We announce the passing of Maria Rempel at 100 years of age, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Park Manor Care Home.
Maria is survived by her son Peter (Angela); their children, Darryl (Shannon), James (Michelle) and Coralee (Jarred); her daughter Nina (Fred), their children, Freddy and Elizabeth; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Maria will be remembered by her grandchildren for never driving fast enough in her 1973 Nova. However, we are convinced that was so she could spend more time with them. She also enjoyed her visits to San Antonio, Texas to visit her daughter Nina and her family.
She will also be remembered by her family for being a strong, fearless individual who never refused a challenge to make a better life for her children.
A very special thanks to the staff of Park Manor…for their everlasting commitment and love for Maria, especially as they faced unprecedented times. The family really appreciates your dedication to your professions.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private interment is planned in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I got to know your mother a few years ago in the care home when she was still sitting up. It was my turn to visit the ailing. She wondered why I had come because we didn't know each other, but we had a lovely little visit together, read God's word and prayed together. It wasn't long until I saw her decline. Unfortunately, when I no longer drove I did not get to see her again. I remember her always with a happy smile, even while bedridden. God bless you all as you remember your mother and grandmother. - Posted by: Elfrieda Balzer (A friend from her church who occasionally visited) on: Jan 30, 2021
