KENNETH (KEN) GRAY
May 29, 1931 - January 22, 2021
In their 67th year of marriage, Ken leaves behind his loving wife Joan, family, Brian (Linda), Elaine (Foster), Glenn (Lori), Donna (Doug) and Doug (Teresa), along with grandchildren, Scott (Laura), Blayne, Carly, Kelsi, Shelbi, Carson, and great-grandchildren, Nicolai and Layla.
Ken grew up in Winnipeg enjoying music and dancing with his childhood sweetheart Joan, bowling and bike riding. Ken thoroughly enjoyed maintaining and renovating their family home and cottage. He was an avid photographer and artist winning several accolades and awards with the Norman Art Group. His family would often reminisce as they paged through his library of photo albums.
Ken spent many years upgrading his academics through the University of Manitoba. After retiring from the Province of Manitoba, Ken started a small picture framing business "Ken Gray's Artworks & Frame Shoppe". His love and passion for his art and framing will forever be displayed in many locations including family and friends homes which serve as a reminder of his many inspirations. Ken was very kind and always made people feel welcome. He was genuinely interested in the activities and accomplishments of his family. His influence and connection was felt by all who knew him. He kept up with technology often acquiring the most current gadgets well ahead of his family.
Over the years Ken and Joan enjoyed family gatherings especially during the holidays, travelling to a variety of southern destinations, and happy hour at their long time home in Fort Garry and the family cottage at Gull Lake.
A private gathering will be held at a later date.
Many thanks to the Winnipeg South Healthcare nurses and the doctors and nurses in 4B and 5A/B at St. Boniface Hospital.
