In the early hours of Sunday, January 24, 2021, Linda Mae Smith, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 68 years.
Linda was born on May 18, 1952 in Brandon, MB to Margaret Kirk Jones and Gordon Irwin Jones. Linda completed secondary at LV Rogers High School and was an excellent cook for many establishments.
In 2002 she married her longtime love Gord Smith, who was her partner in life for almost eight years.
Linda (Maggie) is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her son Christopher Harlow.
She leaves to mourn her siblings, Peggy McCutcheon, Gordon Jones, Kirk Jones, Cameron Jones and Ruby Brydges.
She is survived by her children, David Harlow (Kimberly Sinclair) of Winnipeg, MB, Gordon Harlow of Lethbridge, AB, Rhonda Erskine of Whitby, ON, Juliana Williams of Indiana and Wendy Williams-Barkhouse of Ottawa, ON.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Johnston, Bryce Studiman, Victoria Harlow, Calvin Harlow, Nelson Harlow, Mark Harlow, Walter Harlow, Riley Erskine, Nolan Erskine, Elsie Williams, Lydia Williams, Peter Williams, Zach Barkhouse, Lex Barkhouse, and Marshall Barkhouse.
Linda (Maggie) was known for her kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family and friends. She was always a sociable person who could make friends wherever she went. She would always lend an ear to listen and help in any way she was able to. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her!
At Linda (Maggie's) request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
