ROBERT BROWN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandpa, Robert Douglas Brown, on January 26, 2021, at the Grace Hospital.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife Martha, daughter Shannon (Jack), son Jonathan (Dalsie), and his grandchildren, Mikyla and Caden.
He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Marion Kirkland, Pat Zapisocki, and Mary MacIntosh; brother-in-law Peter Sywy Sr. and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his father Robert Brown Sr. in 1983 and his mother Marjorie Hilda Taylor in 1961.
Bob worked at The Bay for many years. He enjoyed his fishing, loved hockey and watching Turner Classic Movies.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and social workers at Grace Hospital for caring and looking after him.
Due to COVID there will be no funeral service at this time.
If friends so desire, donations in memory of Bob, may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

  • Sad news of Bob's passing, condolences to Martha and family. He was a great pal for over 50 years and I have a lot of fond memories. I will never forget our trip to Ottawa. I went to a Bell convention and Bob decided to take the rental car to visit the Prime Minister's residence. Luckily he wasn't arrested as he drove past the guard station and when stopped he said he wanted to see where his taxes were spent. We always had fun at our fishing trips with the gang of seven. Rest in peace Bob. Dan and Linda Tysz, Kenora On. - Posted by: Dan Tysz (Long time friend) on: Feb 03, 2021

  • Dear Martha and family, We were very sad to read of Bob's untimely passing. Whenever we were in his company, we always enjoyed his witty sense of humour. He was fun to be with at family and friend gatherings. He will be sorely missed yet his spirit and legacy will live on in those who knew and loved him. Our loving and heartfelt condolences to all. - Posted by: Ken and Linda Boughton (Friends) on: Jan 30, 2021

  • Sorry to hear of "Rocky's" passing . Have many fond memories of the twice a year "fishing derbies " at my cottage and Dan's cottage. Bob was an avid fisherman and it seems no matter what every one else was doing, Bob always had a fishing line in the water. Good times indeed. - Posted by: Don "Buck" Hay (friend) on: Jan 30, 2021
