Ross was a wonderful student for grades 7 and 8 at Hartney School - 1957-1959. Besides his regular academic studies, I accompanied him with his cornet and we performed at Music Festivals in Virden and played at various Fowl Suppers in the Hartney area. I last visited with Ross while I was teaching in Souris 1970-1973 and he was teaching in Winnipeg and was leaving that summer to persue further studies in the USA. I am saddened to hear of his passing as I was trying to contact him in 2020 to forward some newspaper articles regarding his festival accomplishments. If Glenda would contact me, I would be pleased to forward that material. - Posted by: Norman Kalinski (former teacher) on: Feb 27, 2021

Dear Glenda: Wayne and I were saddened to hear of Ross' passing. The funeral was a beautiful tribute to a gentle and talented man. Your friendship and faithfulness were a blessing to us and I always enjoyed our Sunday chats. We will be praying for you as you face the future. May God comfort you as only He can. Sending our love! - Posted by: Wayne & Carol Parks (Friends) on: Feb 06, 2021

We will miss Ross and his wonderful personality and piano playing. But we also rejoice that he is Home with his Lord and Savour. Jarmo loved playing his bass with Ross on the grand piano. For almost 20 years the two of them made the old hymns come alive for the rest of the congregation. - Posted by: Jarmo and Maritta Sinisalo (Friends) on: Feb 05, 2021
