September 26, 1927 – February 3, 2021

It is with sadness, we announce the passing of Margaret on February 3, 2021 at 93 years of age.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Eric, and is survived by son Donald (Louise), daughter Barbara (Richard), grandson Nicholas (Monika), granddaughter Jessica (Aiden) and six wonderful great-grandchildren.
Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg. She met Eric while singing together in the Young United Church choir in 1946 and choral work remained their passion throughout their lives. They were long time members of the St. Mary's Anglican Church choir in Charleswood.
Mom worked at various jobs throughout her life, helping to support the family. When she retired she was a Credit Manager at Atlas Alloys. She had many activities that kept her busy – crafts, book club, bridge and travel. Three of her favourite places were Victoria Beach where the family has had a cottage for 75 years; Vernon, BC where mom and dad enjoyed their retirement home for 11 years before returning to Winnipeg and Nairn, Scotland where mom and dad had a vacation home for many years allowing them to become very close to her Scottish relatives.
Mom loved people and had many friends drawn by her caring nature and good sense of humour. She was cherished by her family who will miss her very much.
Special thanks to the caring staff at West Park Manor who helped mom through her last illness.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I have known Marg through her son Don and daughter in law Louise for a very long time. On our many visits I got to know her as intelligent, quick witted and extremely funny with a mega watt smile. Always positive, loved to travel and lived her life to the fullest. What a girl! My condolences to Don and Louise, Rick and Barb and their families. Lisa and Don - Posted by: DON MCCULLOCH (friend) on: Feb 18, 2021
