MADELINE IRENE BLAND
Madeline was born in Oxford House, MB, on March 5, 1925, and settled in Gods Lake Narrows, MB, where she married Bernard and raised her family. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 2, 2021.
Madeline was predeceased by her husband Bernard Bland; her daughters, Marjorie and Lorene; her son Jock; and her daughter-in-law Georgina.
Madeline will be greatly missed by her sons, Harold (Cathy), Donald (Mary), Tommy (Gloria), Leonard (Dora), Jimmy (Jean), Charles (Heather); and daughters, Doreen, Bernice (Sam), Lisa; her brother Bill (Kathy): and sister Annie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and their families.
She will be greatly missed, she fought a long battle to the end and deserves peace.
Mom was an energetic, beautiful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She took great pleasure in making us all feel special and deeply loved. She was a special lady.
She is remembered for her selflessness and compassion, along with an amazing sense of humour. But perhaps most of all she will be remembered for her unconditional and unwavering love of family. As we grieve the passing of Madeline, we are comforted to know she is once again with her husband Bernard, together again, this time for eternity.
Mom, throughout your life you guided us with your loving spirit, strength, courage and wisdom. We take comfort knowing that you are at peace and are reunited with your loved ones. We will miss you dearly and will always have you in our hearts.
Due to Covid, a small family graveside service was held on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Gods Lake Narrows Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will have to take place at a later date when allowed.
We ask that family and friends take
a few minutes to honour her memory.

Sincere condolence to the Family. I remember Madeline well. She was always so helpful during my time at God's Narrows. I still have some beadwork that she did for me.
