JAMES SEAN PEPPARD
November 29, 1950 - February 5, 2021
Sean was born the fourth son of Carlyle and Gwendoline Peppard in Fort William, Ontario. He grew up on Amelia and Frederica streets. His father passed away when Sean was very young, and this deeply affected him the rest of his life. Sean was a freckle-faced, auburn haired kid with a gleam in his eye. He was always happy to share his many good memories of knocking about with his siblings, cousins, and friends in and around town.
Sean began his career working at the CN Rail in 1968. In July 1972 Sean married Alvina Walchuk. They lived in Thunder Bay and then Yorkton, SK, before a final move to Winnipeg with their two daughters and son. Sean worked out of Symington Yards until he retired at the early age of 49 due to health issues.
Sean loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. A favourite memory was heading to Red River Co-op Speedway to watch the car races with them. Over the years Sean enjoyed motorcycle trips with Alvina, camping and fishing with family and friends, and visits over coffee or ice cream dates. Sean was well liked at work and at the Reh-Fit Centre for his kindness and sense of humour, always with a ready smile and handshake.
Sean looked forward to God's Kingdom when His will is going to be done on earth and when death and pain will be no more. "The former things have passed away". (Revelation 21:4). Sean held firm to his faith in Jehovah's promise of a resurrection. He rejoiced in the hope of being reunited with predeceased loved ones: his parents, Carlyle and Gwendoline; his parents-in-law, Edward and Mary Walchuk; and brothers, Carl (Doon) and Lance.
Among those surviving and missing him are his wife, Alvina; children, Shannon, Shawna, Kyle (Samantha); grandchildren, Calum, Izabella, Jaymie, Daymon, Peter, Isaac, and Evan; and one great-grandson, Roan. He is also survived by his siblings, Lorne, Jane, and Allan.
Due to Covid, there will be no formal service. As per his request, Sean will be cremated and interred at a later date.
His family wish to express gratitude to Dr. Robert Kroeker for decades of his kind and caring attention towards Sean.
"I know he will rise in the last day"

I remember Sean when I first came to Yorkton in September 1980. At that time we had a congregation outing. I was new in the truth. We played touch football. I remember lining up against him. I was a scrawny guy back then. He was, let's say, bigger than I was. I tried to outrun him on the play. He grabs me, lifts me up an stopped me from getting to the ball. We laughed hard at the play. After all, it wasn't serious, just fun between brothers. We had a deep conversation that touched me so after that play. The rest of the game went on. But we didn't. We chatted. I told him of my recent loss. And how I came into the truth. He genuinely gave me the time of day. And made me feel welcome as a brother. Thank you Sean. And until we meet again my brother.... - Posted by: Mike Saccoia (Christian brother) on: Mar 12, 2022
