May Auntie Barb was the aunt you want to call- not the one you had to call. A close friend of my mom's when i was born, she has been an essential member of my extended family for my entire life. They say it takes a village to raise a child and Auntie Barb has always been an essential part of my village. We shared a love of gardening and crafts. She taught me how to bead and I still use the sewing machine she gave me so many years ago. Barb taught me patience and how to find peace in my surroundings. Any time I have driven across the country between Calgary and Ontario, Barb and Jerry welcomed me into their home- even meeting me on the outskirts of Winnipeg so that i would not get lost. They supported me when my training brought me to Winnipeg and celebrated my accomplishments. From my birth onward, Auntie Barb has loved me and uplifted me; supported me and challenged me; and helped me grow into the person I am now. I will miss her dearly but I will never be a moment without her influence, without her love. l am glad Auntie Barb is at peace now and I expect her and my mom are together once again, surrounded by their fur babies and doing their crafts in the sunshine on the rainbow bridge. And I will continue to hold the memories of them both, dear to my heart. - Posted by: Molly (Barb's extra kid) on: Feb 24, 2021

To the Families, Sorry for your loss. Growing up Mrs Smith was an inspiration to us young kids. She was a kind caring person known for helping others. Her home was a place us kids could gather, and enjoy the company of friends, family, and the pets. David W - Posted by: David Watt (Friend) on: Feb 13, 2021
