LUCIENNE DESAUTELS
(née JOLICOEUR)
Born March 4, 1936, she passed into the Lord's loving arms on February 11, 2021 at the age of 84 after struggling with Alzheimer's.
She leaves to mourn her husband of 65 years, Ephrem; their five children, Roger (Sandy), Denis (Lori), Joanne (Gerard), Lynn (Doug), and Robert (Chantal); 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind siblings and relatives, Anna, Jeanine, Raymond, Marie (Roger), Maurice (Dolores), Suzanne (Roland), Ernest, Irma, Marcel, her "sister" and best friend Anita Cyr, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Lucy had a great sense of humour, was creative, hard-working and relied on her faith in God throughout her life. She loved to sing her favourite song "One Day At A Time Sweet Jesus". In His grace He took her home, to be in His presence, where she can now sing to her heart's content with the choirs of angels in heaven. She will be deeply missed, never forgotten and always loved.
Due to COVID restrictions, a memorial service will be held in her honour at a later date.

It is so sad to hear about the loss of our family's great friend, Lucy. I always remember Lucy with a smile and encouraging words. She was always a good sport when my dad, Alex, teased her - and he did that often. She is currently in a much better place and it will be great to see her again when we depart from here. Our most sincere sympathies to Ephrem, the boys and the rest of the family who All Love Lucy! - Posted by: Ken Carriere (Friend) on: Feb 15, 2021

I have so many great memories of ma tante Lucienne singing her funny and often colourful songs at the many house parties we had growing up. She had a very contageous laugh, un joie de vivre and I always got a kick out of seeing her ham it up with her sisters. My most sincere condoleances to mon oncle and all the family. - Posted by: Louise Legal-Perrin (niece) on: Feb 13, 2021
