It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother Eva
Marie Reiser (nee Everatt) on February 8, 2021 at the age of 87.
Eva was born in Winnipeg May 5, 1933 and grew up on a farm near Ashern, MB. After Mac and Eva married in 1952, they moved to a farm just outside of Spearhill, MB and then into Spearhill prior to relocating to Winnipeg.
Eva was predeceased by her husband, Mac (Mathias) on May 19, 1992 as well as her
parents, three brothers and numerous aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends.
Eva is survived by her children, Phil (Pam), Val Holyk (Len), Janet Thompson (Red) and Dwayne. Grandchildren, Alex LeRiche
(Jeremy), Meghan Reiser (Sam), Kim Benderski (Shaun), Kerri Gollan (Tommy), Matthew Thompson, Kyle Thompson
(Stephanie), Lexi and Chase Reiser and great-grandchildren, Colton and Liam Benderski, Melody and Alice Thompson and JJ LeRiche, her sister Rose and many other relatives and friends.
Eva was dearly loved by many and will never be forgotten for all the help she gave. Eva was well known for her quick wit,
sometimes sharp tongue and great sense of humour.
Eva and Mac lived at 500 Walker Avenue for many years, where she was a devout member of Our Lady of Victory Church, an avid bingo player, carpet bowler and member of the Fort Rouge Senior Center. Eva worked at several jobs over the years.
She was always there to help her children whether it be to patch clothes, baby-sit or bake the homemade bread we all enjoyed. Her baking was enjoyed by everyone and her grandchildren especially enjoyed her
chocolate chip cookies and matrimonial cake.
Eva has spent the last eight years as a
resident at Concordia Place Nursing Home where she made friends with many residents and staff. She enjoyed many activities there especially bingo and the Wednesday visits from Colleen.
We wish to thank the staff at Concordia Place for the kind care they showed Eva
during her time there.
There will come a time when the memories of the joys we shared will bring more smiles than tears.
People wishing to make a donation, may do so to the charity of their choice.

If I could have only one more day,
only one more
I would pick up the phone
and tell you I love you.
I would thank you for
loving me unconditionally.
And I would thank you
for helping me to be me.
If I could have only one more day.
I pray heaven is everything
you dreamt it to be.
I pray you're safe and free of pain
and have met up with your loved ones.
And I pray you have heard
every word I have said.
To my darling Mum, I will love you forever,
so be safe until we meet again.
