  • I was blessed to know Lucy through the Women Business Owners of Manitoba where we sat on the board together for more than six years. After, we enjoyed many casual meetings and memorable conversations. Lucy was one of the hardest working women I have ever met. I marveled at how she managed her businesses but had the great ability to put her family first. So smart, so kind, and forever authentic. Lucy, our memories of you are a true treasure. Rest well my friend. - Posted by: Christine (Colleague & Friend) on: Feb 19, 2021

  • I met Lucy at Woman Business Owners of Winnipeg and got to welcome her to meetings as President of WBO. She was a consummate professional and a trailblazer in her own right. She became President of WBO and left her own mark and friendships with many of the women entrepreneurs. Our deep heartfelt condolences to Lucy's family, friends, and colleagues. It is heartbreaking and she will always be remembered fondly by those of us that got to know her and her compassion and kindness. From one Acoreana to another until we meet again. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Eddie Calisto-Tavares (Colleague ) on: Feb 18, 2021

  • My deepest sympathy goes out to Lucy's family on her most untimely death. What a shock I got when I read the obituaries in today's paper. She was the most gracious and diplomatic person. I was at superior for four years and when she had to terminate my employment due to cutbacks I bawled my eyes out and she consoled me by putting her arms around me and hugged me. She was so well thought of so we might say pardon the pun "EVERYONE LOVED LUCY" - Posted by: Joan Porteous (Lucy was my supervisor at superior envelope) on: Feb 17, 2021
