June 12, 1927 - February 11, 2021
Sophie is survived by her son Dennis and her daughter-in-law Simone of Calgary, Alberta, granddaughters, Kimberley (Nathan) of Calgary, Michelle of Calgary and Krystal, great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Lukas, Jase, Logan, Derek, Braidy and Tatum, her brother Nick (Lorraine) Kosowan, many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her daughter Linda, her husbands, John Kapkey, Edward Waltbauer, her parents, Alex and Mary Kosowan, and her siblings, John, Mike, George, Fred, Dora, Agnes, Sadie, Olga, Vicky and Jean.
Many thanks go out to all the nurses, staff and volunteers at Park Manor Care in Transcona for all the care and love you gave Sophie on a daily basis. You were all family.
Cremation has taken place at Mosaic Funeral in Winnipeg. A private family graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Calgary, Alberta.
