JULIETTE HEBERT

JULIETTE HEBERT

Mrs. Juliette Hébert passed away on February 14, 2021, at Actionmarguerite Valade. She was 105 years old and had lived a good and full life.
Juliette (née Couture) was married to Georges Hébert, who left us almost 25 years ago. Together they raised their family in the house they built in St. Boniface in 1950.
She leaves a great many fond memories to her children and their spouses, Raymond, Charlotte, Jean (Dolorés Ferraton), Louise (Claude Saindon) and Simone (Julien Allard). She was always interested in hearing their stories, sharing their successes and difficulties with great interest and affection.
Thanks to Juliette's long life, her 11 grandchildren and their spouses got to know her well, as did a number of her nieces and nephews. She also leaves 15 great-grandchildren, as well as some lifelong friends, especially her sister-in-law and lifelong friend Eveline.
Juliette's life was guided by three fundamental values: her unwavering Catholic faith, her love of the French language and culture, and excellence in education for her children, all of whom have had rich and varied careers, as well as transmitting French to the generations that have followed her.
Juliette was the youngest and last surviving child of Eugénie Lauzé and Elzéar Couture. She lived for seven years at Résidence Despins in St. Boniface and spent the last year of her life at Actionmarguerite Valade where she received excellent (and COVID-free) care, for which the family will be eternally grateful.
Due to the pandemic, a private celebration will be held.
Family and friends may send condolences virtually at ejcoutu.ca and make donations to a charity of their choice in Juliette's memory should they wish to do so.

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • When we moved into our home in 1995 at Christmas, flowers were delivered to our home for the lady next door. We brought them over and had a chance to meet our new neighbour. Turned out this lovely lady knew many of the same people as we did and had even gone to school with my mother-in-law. When summer came we saw each other in our yards and chatted. A couple of times Mrs. Hebert would have her front door open and a squirrel would sneak into the house. She asked my husband to get the creature out and handed him a broom. Pretty sure he managed to chase it out without actually using the broom. Always smiling and friendly, Mrs. Hebert was a great neighbour. I think it was about six years ago that she moved into assisted living residence. We will always cherish the many summers visiting across the fence. Sharing the raspberries that we eventually agreed were out of control and mostly her kindness. R.I.P. đŸ’œđŸ™đŸ» - Posted by: Dennis and Kathe Huot (Neighbours for many years.💜) on: Mar 06, 2021
