RAY DESMOND DEFOSSE
September 26, 1930 - February 13, 2021

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Ray DeFosse. Loving husband, father and grandfather. He was known to those closest to him as "Beaker".
Ray was a kind, gentle, caring man dedicated to his work, friends, and his family. He will be greatly missed but forever in our memories and hearts.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be no observances at this time.

  • A great man. A real good friend. - Posted by: rick shaw (friend ) on: Aug 26, 2021

  • To the entire Defosse Family my sincere condolences. I had many great times at Beaker's cottage. He always had a beer when you opened the sliding doors. I remember one day walking to the "cottage" behind, the one he was building, we walked in, looked up and there was Beaker at the top of this pyramid he built from saw horses, plywood, tables and more ...nailing pine boards up...with his hammer and nails. Beaker was handsome (like all Defosse boys), generous and one of kind. I know you are still doing your daily push ups and jumping jacks up in heaven. Thanks for the great memories at Star Lake. • Rochelle and I enjoyed our time with Ray. He was a powerful and energetic force - a true inspiration. - Posted by: Brian Borgford (Friend) on: Feb 22, 2021

  • I was fortunate enough to meet Ray on the occasion he was traveling to watch his grandson, Dylan play hockey and he couldn't have been more excited to be a part of that. I have heard several stories always told with a smile on her face, from his grand daughter Alexa about summers at the lake, how serious he took his afternoon rummy games and happy hour after being out on the boat. You can tell a lot about a man by the legacy he left behind, my condolences to you all. - Posted by: Karen Melathopolous (Friend of the family) on: Feb 22, 2021
