JUDY DALE HOPMAN
(WILWAND)

Judy Dale Hopman, aged 72, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Pinawa Hospital, during the early morning hours of February 16, 2021, with her loving husband by her side.
She was born December 7, 1948. Judy grew up in the Elmwood area of Winnipeg, but her fondest memories were of childhood summers spent with her paternal grand-parents at Otter Falls in the Whiteshell area of Manitoba. It was here that she met her soulmate and loving husband of 52 years, John Hopman. Judy and John were married at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on August 29, 1968. Judy worked as a sales clerk in the furniture and appliance department of Sears, always a friendly, social person, it was easy to understand her success in sales. After living in Winnipeg and raising a family, they were able to retire to the lake area she loved so much, residing in Pinawa for the last 16 years. Judy lived and loved her life by enjoying simple pleasures, chatting with friends or strangers and of course spending precious time with her family whom she loved with all her heart. While the final chapter of Judy's life was diminished by Alzheimer's, the care and love she received from her husband and family was not.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Evelyn Wilwand, and is survived by her husband and soulmate John Hopman. She will be lovingly remembered by son Barry (Melissa), daughter Wendy (Steve), grand-daughter Kimberly, as well as her sister Linda, brothers, Greg and Curt and numerous other family members, in-laws and friends.
Family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. M. Garg and staff at the Pinawa Hospital and home care services for their dedication and care.
Private family services were held. Sobering Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, in Beausejour were in charge of arrangements.
