  • Alice was my friend and neighbour across the street. I will miss seeing her out on the front steps chatting on the phone, waving hello to her every day, having coffee together (she always had the best neighbourhood gossip), she encouraged my gardening skills and took the time to come over and tell me how good my front flowers look, she made the best perogies, she had the brightest smile and most caring spirit. I never met her daughters or grandkids but she talked often about them. She was so proud of her family. I can only imagine how they’re feeling loosing her and my most sincere apologies for their loss goes out to them. Rest In Peace Alice, you are so missed. - Posted by: Arlene Kellas (Friend ) on: Feb 22, 2021

  • I knew Alice from the Bank of Nova Scotia at Waterloo. Alice was the quintessential definition of customer service. She knew and did every single job at the branch and I believe actually trained every new manager who walked in. My business was located across Waterloo from the bank and we had many business accounts in both US and Canadian, as well as a couple of personal accounts. If ever there was a problem, we would just take it to Alice and sure enough within minutes she had found the mistake and corrected it. She was never too busy to help you and you did not need an appointment! Fortunately for me I retired before she did. A lovely lady both inside and out. My deepest condolences to her family - Posted by: Pauline Fia (bank customer and I hope a friend) on: Feb 21, 2021

  • Roger and family, We were saddened at the news of Alice's passing. It did bring to mind many memories from Winnipeg and continuing after our move west, Joan and I returning to Winnipeg on occasions picked up with Roger and Alice where we had left off on previous visits Alice was a generous hostess with a quick smile and hearty laugh. We will miss her. - Posted by: Jack and Joan Fileccia (Friends) on: Feb 20, 2021
