LILLIAN CORNEILLIE
(nee SCHREYER)
November 11, 1928 - February 20, 2021

Lillian was born to George and Mary Schreyer in a family of five brothers and two sisters. Left to be sadly missed and loved by her husband Robert, of 71 years, along with her daughters, Irene (Tom) Isanski, Valerie (Lawrence) Beech, Jeri (Lorne) Mourant and Donna (Don) Landsborough. She was blessed with grandchildren, Christopher (Lilian), Ryan (Kaytee), Dale (Brett), Brian (Kate), Robyn (Matt), Kelly, Craig (Shandi), Kail (Renee) and Brody. She also had beautiful great-grandchildren, Hailey, Carter, Rylen, Jack, Max and Rowan.
She is survived by her sister Dorothy, brother Richard (Mary), and sister-in-law Elizabeth.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary, brothers, Ed, Robert, Leonard and George, sister Clara. Also, Dad's parents, Alphonse and Elizabeth, brothers-in-law, Gaston, Alphonse, Rene, and sister-in-law Katherine.
Mom was raised and spent her life, until she married, on the family dairy farm in the Prairie Grove area and this was also the name of the local school she attended. Barn dances were big in the day and this is where she met our father. They married July 23, 1949 and moved to a farm in Ile Des Chenes, where our Dad's family farm was located. After their first daughter was born, they picked up and moved to a farm in the Rosewood area, where they had another three daughters. Mom worked very hard on the farm, put in a large vegetable garden, but the flower garden was what she loved most. She was a very determined lady and ensured her family was well taken care of. Later in life, when us girls were grown and things were easier they did short trips, the longest was going to Alaska with our Dad's brother and wife. Mom wasn't a traveller and after three weeks, she was ready to come home. Mom loved family gatherings during the holidays and loved spoiling her grandchildren with home cooking and cookies. The cookie jar was always full. Mom and Dad enjoyed playing cards with friends and family until she suffered a mild stroke, this was the beginning of her memory failing that later led to Alzheimer's. After Dad suffered a stroke, the farm was sold in 2019 and they went to live in a personal care home at Heritage Life in Niverville until her death.
