It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Ron Warner at the age of 77. Ron was born in Winnipeg and worked for the Manitoba government for 27 years, before retiring in 2001.
Ron loved to watch the Jets, travel and spend time with family and friends, especially creating memories at his cottage on Lake Winnipeg. We will always remember playing Yahtzee, boating and listening to Grandpa's playlist.
He was predeceased by his mother Mabel; father Fred; brother Keith; sister Bonnie; sisters-in-law, Jane and Shirley and brother-in-law Dan.
Ron is survived by his wife Dawn; children, Jason (Erin), Laura (Kevin), Nicole (Chad), Darren (Amanda), Jeff (Karen) and Rob (Lori); sisters-in-law, Marian and Gail; brother-in-law Peter (Margaret) and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
Ron was a loving, caring and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend. We will really miss him.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

  • To Dawn and family. Nancy and I are so very sad to learn about Ron's passing. We will greatly miss his laughter, his friendship and his thoughtfulness for others. Together you have created a warm and caring home in which so many feel comfortable and welcome. Ron was an incredibly decent person and he will never be forgotten. • Ron was truly the most caring and supportive man to everyone that crossed his path. It was a real life love story when he married my aunt. I am blessed to have known him and so glad he came into my aunt’s life. Condolences to the family at this difficult time. - Posted by: Todd and Terry Lowey (Niece ) on: Feb 27, 2021

  • We are truly sorry to learn of Ron's passing. We had the pleasure of working with and socializing with Ron for many years as employees of Manitoba Driver and Vehicle Licensing. Although we have not seen Ron in recent years, we often speak of the good times and Ron's terrific sense of humour. Ron was always up for a good laugh. Ron and I would often play racket ball at Supreme Racket Courts after work. On one occasion, Ron hit a line drive into my face, breaking my glasses and scratching my cornea. He could sure hit the ball. We also enjoyed lunches at Tubby's Restaurant where "Pizza is good today"! We extend our heart-felt condolences to Ron's family. - Posted by: Don & Carolyn Halbert (Friends/Co-workers) on: Feb 27, 2021
