  • Jiggs and I were great friends at high school in McCreary. I remember one year when the teacher paired us off in dance classes! We had a blast learning the jive, fox trot, etc. Those classes led to Jiggs, Dennis Boiteau and I buying a classic jukebox from the pool hall. They fixed it up for the “youth club “ we had started at the school gym ... so the dancing went on Sunday night for years! Jiggs was full of mischief, instigating stunts like hiding Lorraine Ross’s and my small cars while we were in the movie theatre! He also involved us in a “wine making “ scheme where we hid the crock in Ross’s cellar! We were all too young and never had a chance to taste the wine before the “stench” of fermentation gave it away! Sadly I lost touch with Jiggs over the past 50 years but will always cherish many memories of him. My condolences go to his family and friends. - Posted by: Barbara Francois (Little) (Friend) on: Mar 05, 2021

  • Jigs was a friend from a long time ago. I am sure he knew me my entire life as we grew up in McCreary. He was one of the big kids that made us laugh and best of all he liked to dance. If Hey Jude was played you knew the long dance would be fun with Jigs. I remember he along with my sister Barb and a few others started a youth club that helped us pass the time (stay out of trouble) in our little village. When Jigs worked at Agassiz he was a big tease. Always fun. I realize life was not always good for Jigs but I have fond Memories of him. Gerald and I send his family condolences. - Posted by: Pam Little (Friend ) on: Mar 02, 2021
