Harry Schulz was born March 19, 1931 in Kondrajec/Sierpe, Poland. In 1953, Harry immigrated to Canada. McDermot Avenue Baptist Church became his sponsor and spiritual home until his passing.
Harry married Dorothea Olschewski in 1959 and they were blessed with five children. In May 2020 they celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Harry was known as a hard worker, never shying away from physical work at church, at work and at home. Harry worked for Canada Packers for 35 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Dorothea; children: Margarete, Ronald (Karen), Ingrid (Reg) Porcher, Dorothy (Berni) Plett, and Harald (Vicky); grandchildren: Jeff (Tanya) and son Keith, Amy, Bradley Porcher, Vanessa, Natalie, Jordan Schulz, and Devyn Plett; sisters: Wally Panasiuk and Irene Freiter; and many nephews and nieces.
We would like to gratefully acknowledge the loving care of the doctor, nursing staff, and support workers at both the Concordia Place, and extended care these last weeks in the Covid unit.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to "Camp Nutimik Foundation - Harry Schulz Memorial Fund Project", Box 35040, RPO Henderson, Winnipeg, MB R2K 4J9, a place that was near and dear to his heart.
A private family funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.

Dear Mom, sisters, brother & grandchildren - this week we share the deep loss & celebrate the life of our father, husband, opa & friend.....while we miss him take comfort in that he is in a far better place & no longer suffers or experiences pain. He now lives in eternal glory with our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.....one day we shall meet again....until then shall we say ‘Auf Wiedersehen’ Papa. So sorry that Covid took your last breathe away but also know with that also came the first breathe of eternal life! I love you Papa & my dear family! Harald. - Posted by: Harald Schulz (Son) on: Mar 03, 2021
My deepest sympathy to all of you. I have many fond memories spending time in your home, which was pretty much my second home during my high school days. May God give you peace at this difficult time. - Posted by: Angie Rohde (Friend of family) on: Mar 03, 2021
