CRYSTAL TRIGGS

It's been twenty long years,
Since that dreadful day,
You gave up all hope,
And were tired of the tears.

You were brave to the end,
And did seldom complain,
Our lives were a tempest,
Like two birds in a hurricane.

Past her suffering, past her pain,
Cease to weep for tears are vain,
She who suffered is at rest,
Gone to heaven with the blessed.
