JEAN T. MONTEITH
(FIERBACK)
Jean was very creative. She loved to paint anything - from tole painting to pictures to houses! She was an enthusiastic shopper - only outdone by her sister Dolores. She spent many hours playing cards with friends and family. Grammie Jean loved her grandchildren and they were the sparkle in her eyes. Jean, aka "The Roadrunner", was always ready for the next adventure. When anyone suggested a trip or outing, "SURE!" would be her answer before you finished asking the question. Christmas was her favourite time of year. Her home was always decorated and she loved to host the family dinner. And what a cook, her cabbage rolls and brownies will never be matched. Jean looked after her family near and far and still found time to volunteer in her church and in the greater community.
Jean is survived by her daughter Debbie Monteith of Sussex; sons, Donnie Monteith (Lori) of Douglas, and John Monteith (Cathy) of Douglas; grandchildren, Amanda Hagerman (Rob), Jessica Monteith, Makenna O'Dell, Nick O'Dell (Keri Williams), and Jaime Butler; great-grandson Chace Hagerman; chosen daughter Maureen O'Hara; siblings, Norman Fierback of Winnipeg, Dolores Dame (Tom) of Winnipeg, Shirley Jeffrey (Gerry) of Winnipeg, Terry Fierback (Sylvie) of Ottawa, Beatrice Thiessen (Randy) of Winnipeg, Don "Duck" Fierback of Winnipeg, and Alex Fierback of Winnipeg.
Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her brother Larry Fierback.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 780 McEvoy Street, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with the Ven. Jean and I have corresponded since she left Winnipeg. She was a loving person. She came to visit when she was in Winnipeg. I live at Moosehorn, MB. She always sent a Christmas card to My mom and myself. I will miss her e-mails and our talks on the phone. I know you the family will miss her as well. It is difficult to lose a mother, and grandmother. I will be praying for you. Diana May cousin - Posted by: Diana May (First Cousin to Jean) on: Mar 09, 2021
