Date of Passing: Mar 08, 2021Offer Condolences or Memory Make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marion and daughter Lois.
Dad will be greatly missed by his daughters, Jackie (Shawn) and Janet (Lance); his grandchildren, Bryan, Quinn, Jacey, Alyssa, Dane and Alexa, and great-grandchild Fiona. He will also be missed by a large extended family and lifelong friends too numerous to mention.
Dad grew up on a farm in Parkerview, Saskatchewan. He attended Normal school at 17 years of age. This was the beginning of a long career in teaching. After 40 years, Dad's career as a teacher concluded and he began a long active retirement. He kept himself busy with many activities; farming, wine making, gardening, soup making (his famous Borscht) and maintaining close relationships with a wide array of friends.
Dad started to take winter vacations and found a place he absolutely loved, Bucerias, Mexico. He loved meeting up with his Mexican and Canadian snowbird friends to socialize and soak up the sun.
His family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria Hospital for their warm and compassionate care.
A celebration of Dad's life will be held at a later date.
