Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • I loved working with June. We also visited with her and Ken. They were members of Advent Lutheran Church here. Ken had made a couple of lecterns and had in memory of Rory plaques on them. I am taking one of them and would like to return one or two of them to the family. Please call Rita Werstroh at 204-679-7073 if you would like these. • My condolences to the whole family on your loss. I spent many, many hours with Karen in the Morrison home, growing up on Perch, just a few houses down. Mrs. Morrison was always such a happy person - BIG smile, and full of energy! I hope all your treasured memories help you through this sad time. Hugs to all! - Posted by: Penny Ceppetelli (Hrushowy) (Friend) on: Apr 19, 2021

  • I worked with June for many years at the Post Office. She was fun to work with and could always be counted on when I needed advice or help. When she retired, she came into our home to babysit our 2 boys. She was a wonderful "grandma" to them and they loved her. My husband and I were also friends with Karen and Brian and would like to offer our deepest condolences to them, as well as the rest of the family. • Karen and family I am sorry to hear about your Mum. There are so many memories you will have to remember her by and to share with all her grandchildren. I remember her being so kind and cheerful in the morning when I would meet you Karen to walk to school. Take care. • My relationship with June was mostly as one of her customers. I knew her as Mrs. Morrison. She was the one of the friendliest, kindest ladies I knew as a young man in Thompson. My visits to the post office were always a pleasant experience meeting June. Outside of work, she was equally as pleasant. I will always carry fond memories of her kind, friendly demeanour. And thankful she was one of those folks in my life. My sincerest condolences to all the family. Hugs to my friend Nancy. - Posted by: Don Berthelette (Customer/friend) on: Mar 19, 2021

  • My condolences to the Beth, Nancy and the rest of the Morrison Family. - Posted by: Keith Nesbitt (Friend) on: Mar 19, 2021

  • I don’t remember how I met June and Ken but they and their daughter Nancy were a part of lives in the ‘80s. June was a great help whenever an election was called in those days and was always happy to be a gramma to our children. A soft gentle woman. Ken built me cupboards in our basement. A skilled carpenter. My sincere condolences to Nancy and the rest of the family. Leona Mayer - Posted by: Leona Mayer (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2021

  • I am so sad to hear your Mum has passed away. I remember her as always cheerful and interested in everyone. Such a ray of sunshine! She was always so nice when I would come by the house and I loved going over for that reason. What a kind, wonderful woman. My thoughts are with all of you. I am happy to hear she has so many grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. Love, Linda - Posted by: Linda Morfopoulos (Campbell) (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2021

  • My sincere condolences to all of Mrs. Morrison's family. I have many memories of your Mum working at the post office, and of our family growing up with your family. Our Mums were the same age. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Connie Tennison (nee Campbell) - Posted by: Connie Tennison (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2021
