It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Peter Taylor Russell on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife Heather and daughter Deborah. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his son David, granddaughter Jennifer, grandson Tyler; three great-grandchildren, Gwen, Taylor, Hailey, as well as many relatives and dear friends.
Peter was and still is the strongest man we have ever known, above all devoted and dedicated to his family to the very end. He never gave up on anybody, he was forgiving, kindhearted, compassionate, loyal, dedicated, and highly respected and loved by all who knew him. The list of lives and hearts Peter touched and had deeply impacted goes on and on and will continue to do so till the end of time.
It has been the greatest gift and privilege to have had him in our lives and he will live on in our memory and our hearts.

Your love was a blessing,
your memory a treasure,
you are loved beyond words
and missed beyond measure.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Peter and my dad Ken Bednarz had known each other through their many trucking years. I was able to speak to Peter, on behalf of my dad, shortly before Peter passed. I hope that they are both trucking in heaven. RIP gentlemen. Condolences to your family and friends. - Posted by: Kim Bednarz (friend) on: May 08, 2021

  • Peter and my dad John Hlady were friends from their working years in the trucking business. When dad was in the nursing home Peter made it a point to visit him. Much appreciated. After dad passed away, Peter and I would have lunches either at Tims across from Chapel Lawn or Nicks in Headingly. Again he made a point to keep in touch. I spoke to him shortly before his passing with the intent of visiting but didn't get there in time. Sorry Peter. You will be missed. Hope your little puppy is doing well Terri and Marion Hlady - Posted by: Terri hlady (Friend ) on: Apr 21, 2021

  • I had the pleasure of working with Peter for many years. And after we no longer worked we would meet at the St James Legion once a month for lunch with other former work friends. Peter always made me feel welcome and it was a pleasure to be in his company. I will miss his humor and his friendship. Rest in peace Peter.
