LORETTA KATHLEEN (DYCK) ROMANIUK
July 26, 1936 - March 15, 2021
She was predeceased by her parents, Henry P. and Kay Dyck, brother Eddie and sister Leona. She is survived by her children, Brenda Stamm Jackson (David), Beverley Zubriski (John) and Barry (Grace); by her precious grandchildren, Caleigh, Kathleen (Derrick), Melissa (Wayne), Tiffiny, Shevaunn and Mitchell (Jessica); her great-grandsons, Ashton, Kaiver and Greyson; her sister Diana Fisk (Duncan); her dear friends, Jane Wasyluk, Larry Stamm and Elsie Falk, and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Loretta's greatest joys in life were attending functions for her grandchildren, bragging about her grandchildren, baking and cooking for her family and knitting for everyone she knew. She enjoyed classic country music, was an avid sports fan and an amazing pianist. Her strength came from her devout Christian faith.
At her request Loretta has been cremated and will be buried alongside Larry. A private family burial will occur at a later date.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Lorne Brandes for helping Mom fight breast cancer the first time 22 and a half years ago, Pastor Don Engel and Dr. Adetunji Fatoye for helping her through her final battle, and to Larry and Elsie for their help over the years. Special thanks also to the nurses and aides of 5U1 for their compassionate care. May God bless you all.
If friends so desire, donations can be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Rest in Peace Mom - you fought a good fight!

Our condolences to the family of Loretta Romaniuk. We knew Loretta's family and children well, as students and members of our community. We have fond memories of all the Romaniuk family, with special memories of Loretta at Parent's Day conferences, and Brenda, Bev & John, and Barry. I've lost a dear friend! I will miss her deeply! She was such a faithful friend and encouraged me by reminding me of special hymns and scriptures!! We met at the Credit Union where we worked together for many years. I have many wonderful memories and actual treasures as she gave me a handmade afghan and a lovely handmade version of "Amazing Grace". I was able to help support her through her first bout with cancer! She braved so much suffering but now she is released from her suffering! My thoughts and prayers go out to you as family! - Posted by: Anita Kroeker (Longtime friend) on: Mar 20, 2021
