MORRIS TANCHAK
Morris was predeceased by his loving wife of 41 years, Elizabeth; his parents, Anne and William and his three brothers, Alec, Harry and Mike.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Robert, Harvey and Pat (Tym); grandchildren, Skye and Michael Tymchuk; sister Mary (Wayne) Haberstock; sisters-in-law, Mary Popien, Anne and Jean Tanchak, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Morris was born in Kilkenny, MB on January 11, 1935 and grew up on the family farm. He met the love of his life Elizabeth when she began teaching in the local school. Dad took an active interest in the community, coordinating the "Call of the Wild" event for several years, as well as working on the Board of the Recreation Centre. He also took an interest in local and provincial politics assisting the local riding NDP party. Morris was an avid curler and greatly enjoyed playing cribbage with his many friends.
We would like to thank the many friends and family for their support in this most difficult time.
Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation in Morris' memory.
It was Morris' wish to be cremated with a private service for family and close friends to be held at a later date.

Our Condolences go out to the family and friends of Morris. He was a kind and gentle man, and a pleasure to know. He was the first to say hello in the morning and always wished us a good day on the way home. We would always get a good dose of polka music playing from his TV, near the end of his treatments... so we always knew he was getting ready to go home...when the music came on. May he rest in Peace. Robert, Harvey, Pat, Tym, Skye and Michael, our sincere condolences for your loss. I will forever cherish my weekly phone conversations with Morris. To say he had a kind soul would be an understatement. He was always willing to share his vast array of knowledge and experiences. The hunting season won’t be the same without him. His soft spoken words of wisdom will be greatly missed. Knowing and spending time with Morris was a true blessing. Rest In Peace my dear friend. - Posted by: Lou and Pam Sanche (Friends ) on: Mar 22, 2021
