Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Gus and I worked the same shift and car pooled together. When it was my turn to drive and winter weather hit so we had to drive through the city to get to work Gus was an amazing back seat driver. He would tell me what lane to drive in, when to get into another lane and if I was going to fast/slow. I just did what he told me to do with a smile. We had great chats and he was very insightful and supportive. I did not realize his first name wasn't Gus until someone called him by his first name. Seems I wasn't the only one and he was not a fan of being called Marvin. When we got into the car to drive home after that shift he just looked at me and said "don't start and don't ever call me that name". I laughed and promised I wouldn't and I never did. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I have such great memories of him and he will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family! - Posted by: Christy (former co worker) on: Apr 08, 2021

  • I was saddened today to hear of Gus’s passing. We worked on the same shift for a number of years. He was hilarious and we had such fun working together, including a number of silly pranks we pulled over the years. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Kristen Zaleski (Former coworker ) on: Mar 26, 2021

  • Condolences to the family. Gus was a true gentleman. His humour and friendly way made a sometimes difficult workplace a much more enjoyable place. He will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Michael Brown (Co worker) on: Mar 20, 2021
