LISA MICHELLE GREEN
September 7, 1986 - March 17, 2021

With aching hearts, Lisa's family shares the news that Lisa passed away March 17 from CNS Lymphoma. She died peacefully at home, in the place she loved, with family at her side.
Lisa is survived by her husband Christopher; parents, John and Shari; brothers, Nick, Tom, and Jesse; grandparents, Bob and Carol Garvin and Sophie Green; and many relatives on Christopher's side. She will also be missed by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by grandfather Nicholas Green.
Lisa will be remembered for her kind heart, strong will, and adventurous spirit. She was a food scientist and dietetic intern, working toward becoming a Registered Dietitian. She was also an avid hockey fan, and she loved camping, ice fishing, surfing, and powerlifting. She felt most at home on the coast and valued family above all.
Despite two cancer diagnoses in her last five years, Lisa was a fierce warrior, facing every challenge head-on with incredible grace. Though her years were cut short, Lisa's life was a life well lived. She was loved beyond measure.
Lisa's family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support throughout her illness. Thank you to all who've offered prayers, kind words, practical help, and financial assistance. Thank you to everyone who helped make Lisa's wish to get home to Vancouver Island a reality: to Steve, Andrea, and Carli for rallying the team; to the many relatives, friends, colleagues, and strangers who responded with love and generosity; and to Alkan Air and Life Support Air Medical Services for their compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Willem Prinsloo, to the health care teams who cared for Lisa in both Campbell River and Winnipeg, and to the congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Lisa volunteered with us at Healthy Start and she was such a kind, helpful and giving person - she was an exemplary volunteer and her contributions helped us to support many families in our community. Her kindness will live on through the people whose lives she touched. She would have been an amazing dietitian. My condolences to all those who loved Lisa. I wish her family and friends comfort at this difficult time. - Posted by: Lisa Skromeda ( Colleague) on: Mar 25, 2021
